T20 World Cup Final - West Indies Vs Sri Lanka

Just thought of the similarities between World Cup 2011 and the T20 World Cup 2012

1. Both the teams (India and West Indies) entered the tournament as favorites and won the tournament comfortably.
2. India and West Indies each played out a TIE in the matches leading up to the knockouts
3. Sri Lanka were the losing side in the both the World Cup finals.
4. Mahela Jayawardena quit his T20 captaincy after losing to West Indies in the T20 World Cup final, while Kumar Sangakkara quit captaining the ODI side after losing to India in 2011 World Cup final in Mumbai.
5. MS Dhoni, captaining India in the World Cup 2011, had a lot of criticism for his own performance in the world cup but played a match winning innings in the final. Similarly, Darren Sammy, was faced with a lot of criticism for his performance, but played a big role in the final against Sri Lanka, by scoring unbeaten 26(15) and the  taking 2 wickets in 2 overs while giving away only 6 runs.
